Xabi Alonso confirms he's leaving Leverkusen: "It's time."

It was an open secret, but hearing it from the star himself confirms that the roadmap is clear. "The club [Bayern Leverkusen] and I have decided that these two will be our last games together. We believe it's time to leave and that today was the right time to announce it," said Xabi Alonso this Friday in the press conference he held before next Sunday's Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund, the penultimate match of the season.
What Xabi hasn't confirmed is that his destination is Real Madrid. "It's not the time to talk about the future," he said, although no one doubts he will be Carlo Ancelotti's replacement, pending the confirmation of whether, as the club wishes, he will manage the team in the Club World Cup, which begins on June 15.
"This isn't the time to talk about the future, as we want to have a nice goodbye here on Sunday," the Basque player insisted, speaking of a "mixed set of emotions, because we've been on the right path during this time together, and I still have two very exciting matches left."
